Now that it's baseball season again we're gearing up for the Stitch N' Pitch event at Shea Stadium on September 25, 2008. Last year was a great night of knitting and baseball with Lily Chin.

We have a new section of our store and website that will be devoted to yarns from Maine. We have sourced some beautiful hand dyes from Done Roving Farm, Pine Woods Yarns and Eastport Yarn that we think offer something different as far as colors and fibers and also showcase what can be done locally by talented fiber makers.

New Classes 

Beginner/Advanced Beginner - Brush up on your skills or learn the simple techniques that will make you an accomplished knitter.

$175 - Five 2 hour classes, held on Thursday evening.

Project Class - Bring your projects & patterns in and receive help from our instructor.

• Knitter's Circle - sit, knit, crochet, talk and eat goodies - Just for the fun of it. Wednesday nights from 5:00-8:00pm.
New - Friday from Noon - 2pm: Lunchtime Knitters Circle.
New - Saturdays from Noon - 3pm: Knitters Circle.
The first Saturday of every month is our time for charity knitting. Come by and help a good cause: afghans for Afghans - a humanitarian and educational people-to-people project that sends hand-knit and crocheted blankets and sweaters, vests, hats, mittens, and socks to the beleaguered people of Afghanistan. You're welcome to come to our store, knit, congregate and chitchat. Call for more details.
